what we do
Some of our ongoing activities include:
- Participating in overnights and retreats, workshops and worship services
- Helping our community by holding blanket and clothes drives
- Walking for Hunger, Hiking for Humanity
- Hosting community events, concerts, poetry slams, pancake breakfasts
- Organizing intergenerational activities: Kids Night Out, potlucks, holiday parties
- Playing Wink, Capture the Flag, and Ultimate Frisbee
- Raising money for and building homes with Habitat for Humanity
- Hanging out, eating, and having fun!
During the school year, we meet Sundays from 4:30 - 6:30, Wednesdays after school, and in small groups on Wednesday evenings, to explore social, moral, ethical and religious choices and issues through experiences and discussions. Please check our calendar for small group meeting information, changes in the schedule, and additional meeting times and events.
WUSY G is led by Jessica Rubenstein and Sean O'Brien. For more information, contact one of our
leaders. Our youth group is open to
9-12th graders, but we are not the right group for everyone. We welcome youth who think our covenant is cool, who promise to adhere to the rules we have developed for ourselves, and who can commit to participating in other ways in our church, the community, and beyond.
