other projects

WUSYG works throughout the year to collect warm clothes, food, and blankets for locals; we also organized a massive collection of health, school and baby supplies as well as tools and building materials, which we trucked down to New Orleans this summer. 

Our fundraising allows us to assist other organizations with their service projects as well; most recently we paid to ship a collection of Prom gowns and tuxes to a high school in New Orleans.

Other recent projects of WUSYG include speaking and offering workshops and educational events about youth service work.  We have given workshops and talks at local churches, schools, and for organizations such as Church Women United, Rotary Club, and the Massachusetts Bay District of UU Churches. We have also offered workshops at the UUA General Assembly in Fort Worth, TX and St. Louis, MO.
